Meltdown

... and the boiler gave up the ghost on Thursday.

Mamma-Lou has been walking around ranting that her medical biochemistry degree is worth nothing in the real world and she intends to enroll in nightschool to trade up in car mechanics, electrical engineering and plumbing ...

(she was a bit cross that the plumber charged her 200 quid to take 30 mins to change a ballcock ... she said he was a cock ... he didn't look like the hens on my picture book though ... confused?)

Look after the pennies

The housing market is in decline, people are an average 8k in credit card debt and I've got school fees to save up for.

Am I too young to get a paper round?

Hot Cross Mum

In the last 3 months all things electrical seem to have gone kaput ... the dishwasher, the washing machine, the digital camea and video and the r key has fallen off mamma's laptop. So she is in a little strop.

And there are builders sorting out fire things in the house and everyone is asking mamma questions all the time.

Mamma is trying vvvvv hard not to stick pins in a kewpie of Mr Difficult who started all this.

On the good front ... dadda bought her a lovely new ibook and she just had a new colour on her hair which looks v sophis,,,,

A woman's work is never done

Here I am being very helpful -- although MammaLou says we don't have to wash phones and sets of keys.
Went to see baby Amelie Grace today and she is soooooo pretty. Wow

The plane truth

I miss my Daddy. He is on a plane right now zooming across the Atlantic ocean to come play with me. He makes great dens and is a funny monster. Safe travels Daddy can't wait to see you.

Where have all the parents gone ...

off on business every one. Good job GrannyBoo can come round at 6am so MammaLou can sit on the tarmac of Gatwick for hours. Oh yes, such glamour. Definitely inspires me to be a dancer rather than a director. Flamenco I think ... I'm certainly good at stamping my feet.

Digging and painting

Grampy came round to paint my toybox. He's very clever at distressing things ... not me though, he makes me laugh. Check out how talented he is on www.carbonframing.com. He's even named a wardrobe after me that has appeared in a magazine! Well, seeing as my parents had me at my first photoshoot aged 20 weeks (Mamma-Lou in Pregnancy and Birth) and then they did a yoga-in-birth book when I was still cooking ... what can I say, I'm a cover girl already.

Took The Parents to the park ... they were mad for the swings and sandpit. I graced them with a few giggles as you'll see in the video. Honestly ... you have to take them for a run so they sleep well. Daddy is off to NY tomorrow. No rest for the (slightly) wicked. Still, he's checking out the new Silverjet company so I'm sure he'll be happy at cruising altitude. Mamma-Lou hopes he'll be jetting through the shops in NY -- especially with a 2.06 exchange rate, Christmas around the corner and the likelihood that I'm starting to cut 2 more teeth while he has hotel sleep. (She notes that she's a US 4 or something and loves Nicole Miller???).

Whoops a daisy!

So Mummy and Daddy were invited for drinks at the Clarks' last night. The plan was to take me with them and let me sleep upstairs while the champagne flowed.

Think again.

Mummy in vertiginous heels ... knock on the door, I wake up and projectile vomit Omen-style all down her, the lobby, into the garden and unfortunately my Mr Sleepy Sheep was in the firing line too, then giggle and go back to sleep. Door opens ... Kat Clark says 'Hi ... oh ... bathroom's this way.' Mummy cleans me up, changes into the host's jogging bottoms and leaves.

One to tell at my wedding ...

Went to do a duck inspection at the park with The Parents.

Daddy was nursing a 4-am-er hangover after a big work event called 'Iris on Show' where lots of schmoozing and general self-aggandizing took place (according to Mummy who just went along for the free bar and to wear her new size 8 dress ... because she can). I enjoyed it too ... especially trying to break the displays.

All this moving about

Mummy went to NYC and Washington for a whole week without me! She claims she was doing important pharma industry things but we all know she maxxed-out the family credit cards in Kenneth Cole. Hmm. I let her know I was displeased. I'm good at supercilliousness me. It has taken her 3 days to get a smile.

Daddy is off to NYC again next week and Auntie Lizzie has moved to Dubai for 2 years ...

Was it something I said?

The storm has passed

It's been 4 days.

I didn't eat, drink, sleep. I cried, I dribbled, I stressed my Mummy out with worry.

But this morning I managed some porridge ... the storm has passed.

I am not well

My ear hurts. My teeth hurt. Sometimes all this growing sucks!

Absent - moi?

It's been 5 months. My mother freaked out about blogging but came round to thinking it IS a great way for me to stay in touch with my people. So, Now I Am One. I walk, I scamper, I yell, I yabber.
Basically I'm just even more adorable than when last we met.
I certainly have more hair.
And attitude.

I've been quiet

Oops, no posts for a while. That's because I can now crawl and say 'DADA' ... so been too busy exploring to type ...

Presence and presents

Daddy's back from his whistle-stop tour of American cities, bringing me toys on the way. Was Grandpa's birthday yesterday and he got presents too. Generally, I just spent the weekend charming everyone.
Easy.

Water baby

Started swimming lessons with Granny and my pals today. It was just so excellent to kick and play in the water and boing around.

SPLASH!

When teddies attack ...

Mr Schneezel, Dolly, RogerRabbit and Moo-Giraffe (so called cos when Mad-Nan picked it up in Hamleys she declared, 'Oh what a great cow' ... it's clearly not bovine) went postal and mounted a soft-toy coup at 7am. Can safely report all now back in their basket.

I'm the boss around here.

Shocking ...

Stayed with a childminder today and had a splendid time. However it is absolutely shocking that we pay a childminder less than a cleaner and yet women still can't afford to return to work in this country.

Washing a bath valued more than watching a kid.

That sucks.

When I grow up I am going to be the Prime Minister and do something about it.

Granny's back ...

There's a lot of granny love around here these days. Guess that's cos there's a whole lot about me to love.

Who loves ya baby ...

Uh-ha-ha... thank you very much
(This is my Elvis impression.)

Good morning world. Pleased to report that I have resumed sleeping 1930 to 0600. which is just as well when Mummy stays up till the wee small hours doing her Winter to Summer wadrobe change.

Never a dull moment ...

Urm ... where did she go?

Come back Mad-Nan ... it is far too quiet without you. Move to Kent. Move in.

Cool for cats

Mad-Gran's last day before heading back to the wilds of Yorkshire. We've been adventuring around the parks of TW for a week now. How will Mummy cope having to do everything again especially while ... TANTRUM ALERT

Daddy slums it in LA, San Fran and NYC!

Methinks there may be trouble ahead ... certainly Daddy would be sensible to make merry on the $2 pound and bring home some appease-Mummy-sugar ...

Help -- Mad-Nan is here

Ohhhhhhh she's deaf, daft and downright dizzy.
But she's so much fun.
Stay, stay, stay .... Mummy is nicer when you're here.
(Please try to learn the proper words to the songs tho'.)

Dis-custards of Tunbridge Wells

So ... at the weekend Mummy donned a pink wig and took to the streets to give out flyers for the MILE FOR MAUDE walk. Hmm. Talk about the dis-custards (that's our Delilah-term for them) of TW. People looked us like we were scum. Most disheartening. We don't give up easily though. More success in the park ... and people have been calling us to say they will join in. 300 babies die every year in the UK from cot death ... we can take humiliation if our efforts raise awareness.

Stand up for your rights

So I am currently freaking out The Parents because I just want to stand up on my own! I'm finding it great to pull myself up using a big toy abacus and the side of my cot. Yes, yes, yes I know I'm too young yet etcetcetc and that I really should master crawling first
... but hey I'm a busy lady ... places to go, people to see ...

Got my Mamma all to myself

Zippedeedoodah.
My Mummy has put the career on hold and put me first. Quite sure she'll break the SAHM mold! We're going to have soooooo much fun together. Hats, afternoon tea and lots of chats ... happy days.

Granny-time

One has gone to Egypt. T'other is visiting from Doncaster. Tis nice to have someone around to help Mummy ...

Friday, 20 April 2007

Baby-Gangsta!

Its Friiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiday ... and with that comes the soundtrack for the weekend. Now I'm a bit of a BeeGees fan (How deep is your love?) but only R Kelly's IGNITION can truly put you in that POETS mood ...

"Its the freakin' weekend baby I'm about to have me some fun ..."

A lady who lunches

Met up with my pals Isabella, Freddie, Tabitha, Charlie, Ben and Christian. Honestly why don't the parents just leave us to yabber on our own. Still a good time was had by all and I got to wear a rather splendid hat.

Life's a giggle

Yup, these big eejits think it's hillarious to try to get me to giggle. Ok, I know I sound cute but do they really need to sing, pull faces, act kooky and tickle me all the time. Sigh. It's so tiring being so adored.

Just had my first ear infection which was most unpleasant. Kept Daddy awake 4 nights in a row (Mummy had taken her guilt-ridden self off to a spa for some me-time to lose her baby-bulges ... I hear they're not 'lost' as yet but definitely starting to vacate.)

Best go -- the big ones are looking for a smile-fix ... again!

The start of something

Hi.

Welcome to my world; a veritable cacophony of baby joy and japers.

Hmm. Better get some pictures up and then bring my public up to speed ...
